The dentist
Dr. Vijay Makwana is the dentist at V-Dent Dental Care in New Nikol. He carries out consultations and treatment himself, so the person who assesses your case is the person who treats it — you are not handed between clinicians or asked to explain your history again at every visit.

A dental implant is a small post placed in the jawbone to support a replacement tooth. It is one way to replace a missing tooth — a bridge or a denture may suit you better. Which option is appropriate depends on how much bone is at the site, the condition of the teeth either side, your gum health and your general health. An examination with x-rays is what settles it, not a website and not a price list.

A dental implant is a small post, usually titanium, placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once bone has healed around it, the implant supports a crown, bridge or denture. It replaces the tooth without relying on the neighbouring teeth for support.
The procedure is done under local anaesthetic, so the area is numb and you should not feel pain during it. Afterwards, soreness and some swelling for a few days is normal and is usually managed with ordinary pain relief. Pain that increases after two to three days should be reported to the clinic.
The cost depends on how many implants are needed, what is fitted on top, and whether preparatory treatment such as an extraction or bone grafting is required. V-Dent Dental Care provides a written estimate after an examination rather than a single published figure, because a number quoted before assessment cannot be accurate.
Root canal treatment removes infected or damaged tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and disinfects the space, and seals it so the tooth can stay in the mouth rather than being extracted. It is carried out under local anaesthetic, and back teeth are usually protected with a crown afterwards.
Book an appointment if bleeding continues for more than a week or two despite cleaning properly, or sooner if there is swelling, pain, bad breath, receding gums or looseness. Healthy gums do not usually bleed, and the early stage of gum disease is the reversible one.
A first visit is mainly assessment and discussion: an examination of your teeth and gums, x-rays where they are needed, a conversation about your concerns and medical history, and then an explanation of the realistic options. You should leave understanding what is going on and what the choices are.
